the first walk…
As this is practice-based research I decided to document each colour walk with a very simple concertina ‘book’ to reflect my experience in words – note impression, colour, sensation, sound.
At home I can add tiny blocks of colours to the book – these from memory before looking at any images taken. Current thinking is to continue ideas about fair isle colour work swatches.

I soon realised how I needed to focus and select from the richness of what is around me – phenomenological work: what most captured my attention? Today it was the colour of berries.
Lets see what happens and make a simple start…
